Growing up with the next technology always looming over the horizon, I had this incredibly cleche idea of what cyborgs would look like. It always felt too far away to be a reality.
This is evidently not the case.
First I had a pager.
Then I got a cell phone.
Then there was a website.
And now I have a blog.
And when I'm walking down the street I can't help but notice that the earpieces that people are wearing, walking around talking to what seems to be themselves, bear a remarkable resemblance to the cyborgs of my childhood nightmares.
For better of for worse, we are living the future we imagined twenty years ago.
I make paintings about the ends of these dreams, amongst other things.
Thanks for stopping by.
